An industrial engineer by trade, a chicken wing lover by birth, Stefano was born and raised in Upstate New York. As with most people, the early part of his career moved Stefano around the country until he finally landed in Southern California. During his first years on the West Coast, Stefano worked for a brewery and was surrounded by beer on a daily basis. There was one problem though… all of that beer and not one single place with decent chicken wings in all of the greater LA area. Left to his own devices, Stefano crafted his own original homemade sauce and began making wings for himself- the wings he grew up on, Buffalo Wings. Using a table top fryer and some wings from the local store, Stefano would make wings for himself and for friends while watching football games. Eventually, friends invited friends, and those friends brought friends, until Stefano would end up with thirty-plus uninvited guests at his house for a party, and most importantly, his authentic Buffalo Wings.
It was this unintended popularity that gave way to the birth of BrewWings. Staffed by only himself and his wife, Stefano began selling his wings at a local farmer’s market in Sunset Beach, CA, and later provided wings in the tasting rooms of many local SoCal breweries. Two years, and tons of wings later, BrewWings unveiled their Food Truck. In the months since the launch of the truck, BrewWings has seen tremendous success and an ever expanding business. Now you can find BrewWings all over LA and Orange County; at bars, office parks for lunch, breweries, festivals, private events, and more!
For Stefano, BrewWings really began as an overzealous hobby that transformed into a weekend and evening business. BrewWings’ rapid growth proved that his complete attention was required to be clearly focused on his passion for delicious chicken wings. With that in mind, and the support of his family, Stefano officially left the corporate world in August of 2015 to focus solely on his goal to Bring the Wing to Southern California. It’s an exciting time for BrewWings, and we hope you will come along for the ride!
